Pray this week: 

Discuss with God what you could give up for the 40 days of Lent (Feb 14 – Mar 28) in order to prepare for Easter.

Discussion Questions:
  1. How have you dealt with seemingly unanswered prayer or failed miracles? Did it become an opportunity for spiritual growth or did your faith in Jesus decrease?
  2. Read Matthew 17:14–20 and then Mark 9:14-29. List the differences between the two versions of this event. What were the elements of Jesus’ radical prayer that lead to the healing of the boy?
  3. Where in your life is a mountain that needs a radical prayer for a radical miracle? (Pray together now)
  4. Discuss ideas around giving up something for Lent (Feb 14 – Mar 28) to prepare your hearts for Easter. Consider ideas for your kids also.
