- Key session outcome: Understand the essential link between prayer and building relationships with your non-Christian friends.
- NOTE: Next week – no Ripple Effect Session as all Life groups are combining for ‘Breakthrough Prayer’ to intercede for the Unreached. Tuesday 14th August, 7.00pm, at Church.
PRAY
- Begin your Life Group with worship songs, contemplative prayer, thankfulness, personal prayer requests or similar.
- Acts 1:8 – That the power of the Holy Spirit empowers us to witness about Jesus.
GROW
Review last weeks practice:
Add the 3-5 non-Christians you’ve identified in the first row of your Reach Plan. Explain why you think each person may be open to deeper conversations about faith. Spend 5 mins each day this week praying for these 3-5 people.
Discussion Questions:
- What did you learn from Bronwen’s Bible reading group and subsequent evangelistic conversations?
- Why is prayer and intentionality essential to witnessing to your family and friends?
- Consider the 3-5 friends you’ve nominated – Are you aware of a preferred activity they enjoy doing with you ? What one thing could you pray for on their behalf?
- Reading the Bible and offering prayer to your non-Christian friend are great relational evangelism skills – Which one of your friends would be interested?
- Read Acts 9:1-22 – Jesus reaches Saul, the most unlikely convert. Who is the most unreachable person in your relationship network? Describe the many ways Ananias helped in reaching Saul.

REACHING PRAYERS
- Pray for opportunities to read the Bible with your non-Christian friends.
- Pray to make the most of your chances to tell others the Good News. Pray for wisdom in all your contacts with them (Col 4: 5 TLB)
- Pray for a deep godly burden for the 3-5 people you’ve identified and the opportunities to deepen the relationship through a meaningful conversation.
