PRAY
- Begin your Life Group with worship songs, contemplative prayer, thankfulness, personal prayer requests or similar.
- That Discover Church will continue to align around a bold and wise witness to Jesus.
GROW
Review last weeks practice:
My Reach Plan – Nominate a unique prayer points and ideal relationship building activities. Organise an activity with one person over the next 1-2 weeks.
Debrief your prayers and your activity with your friend. Was your invite well received? Were you aware of God in the activity?
Discussion Questions:
- Review the table above – How often do your conversations spiral deeper than merely external/general?
- Brainstorm 5 questions anyone could use to nudge a conversation from external to internal.
- What topics are common to your 3-5 nominated friends? Which of the three levels are these topics at? What kind of questions could deepen these conversations?
- Jesus asked 307 questions, meaning about 1 in 6 things Jesus said was a question. Why did Jesus use questions to reach people as opposed to just giving them the answers, telling them the truth!
- Read Acts 10:24-36 – Peter’s paradigm toward the Gentiles is changed by God (v28) and the Gospel message can flow resulting in Cornelius household being transformed. What paradigms or beliefs cause you to not share the Gospel and exclude others from Jesus?

REACHING PRAYERS
- Pray by God’s grace that conversations with your friends will deepen and that the Holy Spirit will give you the words to speak.
- Pray that you will proclaim this message about Jesus as clearly as we should. (Col 4:4)
- Pray for places you go in your local community
